Restore Your Gums

New treatment for gums that recede with age or dental treatment

Gum Line Restoration in Phillips Ranch, CA

One common problem with adults is gum recession on the front teeth. This can be the result of simple aging, or it can result from restorative work, such as crowns or straightening teeth with braces. Gum disease or periodontal surgery can also result in a visible loss along the gum line.

The problem usually shows as an open space up by the gums between the two affected teeth. It can occur in a few areas or all along the front teeth. The space will catch food and cause difficulties in cleaning your teeth, as well as being unsightly.

Because gum tissue cannot be regrown, this problem has remained unsolved for many years.  However, experienced Pomona dentist Howard Glassman offers a new, simple and inexpensive treatment called the “Gingi-Mol” that will replace your missing gumline with a prosthetic that looks and feels perfectly natural.

How will Dr. Glassman restore my natural gumline?

With the Gingi-Mol, a special type of impression is made of your teeth showing all the open spaces. Dr. Glassman then uses a color guide to reproduce the shade and color of your gums. In the dental laboratory, a thin sheet of soft  acrylic is made that fits over the gum line area of your front teeth and fills in those “black triangles.” The soft, natural-looking acrylic covers the gum area and as much tooth as is needed to give the appearance of a perfect gum line.

The Gingi-Mol that has been custom-designed for you stays on by just pressing it into place. It snaps into the open spaces.  It can be worn during all normal activities, including eating, kissing, or swimming.

There is one minor drawback, however. Simply because of the nature of the material, it will need to be replaced once a year.  Dr. Glassman recommends that you obtain your devices two at a time, so that you never have to be without your replacement gumline!

Restore Your Natural Gumline

By Howard Glassman, D.D.S.

This malady can leave what's commonly referred to as those "black triangles" where the papilla has receded and now leaves an open space up by the gums between the two affected teeth. It can occur in a few areas or all along the front teeth. This can be unsightly and well as catching food and causing other problems.

There has never been any known way to re-grow gums back up into these areas. There's still no way to re-grow gums BUT, now there's a way to replace them that looks just like the real thing...
